At the meeting of the Joint Liaison Meeting with the Cymru Alliance League, Spar Mid Wales League, Welsh National League and Welsh Alliance League on the 21st May it was agreed that Holyhead Hotspur be promoted to the Cymru Alliance League for the 2012/13 season.
Joining Hotspur in the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance will be Rhydywmyn from the Welsh National League and Rhayader Town from the Spar Mid Wales League. At the same meeting it was confirmed that Llangefni Town would be relegated to the Welsh Alliance and Rhos Aelwyd to the Welsh National League. These appointments will be confirmed at the Cymru Alliance League Annual General Meeting on 16th June.
Club Secretary Richard Parry commented "We are pleased that confirmation of Holyhead Hotspur FC promotion to the Huws Gray Cymru Alliance League was ratified at the recent joint liason meeting of the Huws Gray League and its feeder leagues." He added; "The League is far stronger now than when we left it two years ago, with the introduction of the six Welsh Premier clubs, but we will give it our best shot and we should do well."
